645B.051 Continuing education required for renewal of license
(IT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR INITIAL APPLICATION AS
A MORTGAGE AGENT)
For brokers, qualified employees and owners, directors,
officers exempted from loan agent licensing requirements.
By May 31 of each year, Mortgage brokers must submit to the
Commissioner satisfactory proof that the each person who
supervises the daily business of the mortgage broker must have
completed at least 10 hours of certified courses of continuing
education during the 12 months immediately preceding the date
on which the license expires. Class hours used for prior
renewals may not be used to meet current education
requirements, although excess hours may be used or carried
forward.
Mortgage agents.
A mortgage agent who renews the license must have completed at
least 10 hours of certified courses of continuing education
during the 12 months immediately preceding the date on which

Approved course of studies. To have a
course approved the course will need to be approved by one of
the following sponsors and relate to the mortgage industry or
mortgage transactions:
